Retail Security Officer

Provide security detail per post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments. Duties include controlling entrances and movement of pedestrians and vehicles, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting material and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Maintain a professional image with excellent customer service, greet customers, visitors and employees, report revisions to post orders, monitor cameras and respond to alarms/incidents, complete Daily Activity Reports and incident reports, and contribute to safer loss prevention processes. Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, and related equipment is expected, as is adherence to emergency procedures and clear communication with Security Supervisor. The role may vary by location and post orders.
