Retail Security Officer

Job Summary
Provide security detail per post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments. Patrol of buildings and perimeters; control entrances and movement of pedestrians and vehicle traffic; escort material and personnel; inspect security and fire exposures; monitor cameras; respond to alarms and emergencies; complete Daily Activity Reports, incident reports, and maintain logs. Maintain a professional image with customers, visitors and employees; greet others courteously; stay informed on post orders and site-specific policies; work as part of a team, prioritize multiple duties, and communicate effectively with the Security Supervisor. Duties may vary by post; role emphasizes vigilance, loss prevention, and adherence to safety procedures.
