Retail Security Officer

Job Summary
Provide security detail per post orders, patrol buildings and perimeters, control entrances and movement of pedestrians and vehicles, and escort material and personnel. Maintain a professional image and deliver excellent customer service while coordinating with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. Duties include monitoring cameras, reporting incidents, maintaining post knowledge, and ensuring safety and loss-prevention processes. Responsibilities may vary by post and location; ensure compliance with post orders and emergency policies, complete required security documentation, and communicate issues daily to Security Supervisor.
Required Qualifications

- Strong customer service skills
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Ability to patrol, monitor cameras, and respond to incidents
- Knowledge of life safety systems and fire panels
- Ability to work in a team and follow directions
- Experience with post orders and security procedures
