Retail Security Officer

Provide security detail per post orders and establish professional relations with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. Responsibilities include controlling entrances and pedestrian/vehicle movement, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Maintain a professional image with strong customer service, greet customers/visitors/employees, stay updated on post orders, report suspicious activity, monitor security cameras, know emergency procedures, complete daily activity and incident reports, and contribute to safety and loss-prevention processes. Knowledge of life-safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, and related equipment, and willingness to adapt duties as post orders require. Duties may vary by location and post; compliance training and coordination with the Security Supervisor are expected. This role requires on-site presence at Riverside, NJ, United States.
