Retail Security Officer

Job Summary
Provide security detail per post orders and establish working relationships with customers and local authorities. Patrol buildings and perimeters, control entrances and movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and escort material and personnel. Monitor cameras and report any suspicious activity; complete Daily Activity Reports and incident reports. Maintain a professional image with customers, visitors, and employees; demonstrate strong customer service and be proactive in revisions to post orders. Duties may vary by post; responsibilities include life-safety and emergency procedures knowledge, and coordination with security supervisors and management to improve safety and loss prevention.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in security or customer service preferred
- Ability to patrol and monitor premises
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain professional image in uniform
- Knowledge of post orders and procedures
- Ability to report incidents and observations accurately
