Job Summary
Retail Security Officer responsible for guarding assigned premises per post orders. Duties include controlling entrances and traffic, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials/personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and completing required reports. Maintain a professional image and deliver excellent customer service while staying vigilant, reporting suspicious activity, and coordinating with security supervisors. Must monitor cameras/equipment, stay current with post orders and emergency policies, and be able to adapt to varying post assignments and departmental needs.
Required Qualifications
- Be on time and report to post in full uniform
- Maintain professional image
- Patrol physical property or fixed post
- Monitor cameras or equipment
- Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports
- Knowledge of life safety systems and fire panels
- Communicate with Security Supervisor
- Know authorized contractor personnel
- Ability to read and understand post orders
- ADA accommodations consideration
- Strong customer service and team work abilities
