Job Summary
Retail Security Officer responsible for security detail per post orders, controlling entrances and movement of pedestrians and vehicles, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Maintain a professional image with customers and employees, greet visitors, monitor cameras, be vigilant for suspicious activity, and respond to alarms and emergencies. Prepare Daily Activity Reports and incident reports, stay current with post orders and ADA requirements, and coordinate with the Security Supervisor. Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, elevators and access doors, and ability to report issues and support loss prevention. Duties may vary by post; adaptability to different locations and organizational structures is expected, with emphasis on customer service and safety.
