Retail Security Officer

Retail Security Officer responsible for controlling entrances and pedestrian/vehicle movement, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and performing special assignments. Maintain a professional image with strong customer service, greet customers and employees, stay aware of post orders, monitor cameras and security equipment, report incidents, complete daily activity and incident reports, and contribute to loss prevention efforts. Be proactive with post orders revisions, understand life safety systems, and ensure the safe operation of elevators and access doors. Communicate security issues to the Security Supervisor daily and adhere to training/compliance guidelines set by the customer and agency regulations. Duties may vary by post; ADA accommodations may be provided. The role emphasizes vigilance, teamwork, urgency, and clear written and verbal communications in safeguarding people and property.
