Retail Security Officer

Retail Security Officer responsible for maintaining security at a facility, including controlling entrances and movement of people and vehicles, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Must be professional, customer-service oriented, punctual, and able to communicate effectively with customers, visitors, employees, and law enforcement. Duties vary by post and may require adherence to post orders, reporting incidents, monitoring surveillance systems, maintaining emergency procedures knowledge, completing incident reports, and contributing to safety and loss-prevention improvements. Familiarity with life-safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, and access control, with a focus on safe operation of elevators and doors, is expected. ADA accommodations may be considered where applicable. The role requires teamwork, urgency, accuracy in reporting, and the ability to follow directions and adapt to changing post assignments.
