Retail Security Officer

Security Officers provide security detail per post orders, control entrances and movement of pedestrians/vehicles, patrol buildings and perimeters, escort materials/personnel, inspect security and fire exposures, and perform special assignments. They maintain a professional image with customer service, greet customers/visitors/employees, stay current with post orders, monitor cameras, report on daily activities and incidents, and communicate with Security Supervisor about new issues. Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, elevator operation, and compliance with training guidelines is required; duties may vary by post and organizational needs, with emphasis on vigilance, urgency, teamwork, and loss prevention.
