Job Summary
Provide security detail as outlined in the post orders; control entrances and movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic; patrol buildings and perimeters; escort of material and personnel; inspect security and fire exposures; perform special assignments as needed. Maintain a professional image with greeting of customers, visitors and employees; stay updated on post orders; report suspicious activity and incidents; monitor cameras and emergency procedures; complete required reports; recommend improvements for safety and loss prevention; possess knowledge of life safety systems and operation of related equipment; ensure compliance with training guidelines and daily operations as directed by AFS and the customer. Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Duties may vary depending on department size, organizational structure, geographic location and post assignments.
- Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position
- Maintain professional image and greeting customers, visitors and employees
- Monitor cameras or equipment per post orders
- Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports
- Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, and related equipment
- Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by customer / market
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency and as part of a team
