Retail Security Officer

Provide security detail per post orders and maintain professional, customer-focused service. Responsibilities include controlling entrances and movement of pedestrians and vehicles, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Maintain awareness of surroundings, note activity in the assigned area, greet customers and employees professionally, stay current with post orders and customer communications, monitor cameras and equipment, respond to alarms and emergencies, complete Daily Activity Reports and incident reports, and contribute to safety and loss-prevention improvements. Knowledge of life-safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, elevators and access doors, and familiarity with coordinating with security supervisors and clients is expected. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment are essential; duties may vary by location and post orders.
