Retail Security Officer

Provide security detail per post orders including controlling entrances and movement of pedestrians and vehicles, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting material and personnel, and inspecting security and life-safety exposures. Maintain a professional image and deliver strong customer service while staying aware of surroundings. Be proactive in knowing post orders and communicate with the customer and Security Supervisor. Duties may vary by post and location; responsibilities include greeting customers and staff, reporting suspicious activity, monitoring cameras and emergency procedures, completing daily activity and incident reports, and contributing to loss prevention and safety improvements. Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, elevators and access doors, and ability to respond to alarms and incidents are valued; ADA accommodations may apply.
