Retail Security Officer responsible for controlling entrances and movement, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting material and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Duties emphasize maintaining a professional image, greeting customers, staying aware of post-order revisions, reporting incidents and suspicious activity, monitoring cameras, and knowledge of life-safety systems and access controls. Strong customer service, teamwork, and clear communication are required to support loss prevention and safety initiatives across various posts.
Required Qualifications
- Be on time and report to post in full uniform
- Maintain professional image and greet customers, visitors and employees
- Be proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and general information distributed by the customer and AFS
- Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position
- Monitor cameras or equipment as outlined in post orders
- Know life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV system, and related equipment
- Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by AFS and regulators
- Communicate daily with Security Supervisor about new issues or changes
