Retail Security Officer

Provide security detail per post orders and establish working relationships with customers and local authorities. Duties include controlling entrances and movement of pedestrians and vehicles, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Maintain a professional image with strong customer service, greet customers/visitors/employees, stay updated on post orders, report suspicious activity, monitor cameras, respond to alarms and emergencies, complete daily reports and incident reports, and contribute to safety and loss-prevention improvements. Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, and access control recommended; adapt to post-ordered duties and location variations. Strong communication, teamwork, urgency, and adherence to policies are essential.
