Retail Security Officer

Provide security detail per post orders and establish professional relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. Patrol entrances and perimeters, control movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, escort materials and personnel, inspect security and fire exposures, and perform special assignments. Maintain a professional image with strong customer service; be proactive, vigilant, and report incidents, alarms, and safety issues. Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures, post orders, and life-safety systems; generate Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports; contribute to loss prevention recommendations; interact with customers and staff in a courteous, effective manner. Knowledge of CCTV, fire panels, and elevator/access door operations preferred; adapt to varying post assignments and organizational structures.
