Retail Security Officer

Retail Security Officer responsible for providing security detail per post orders, maintaining a professional image, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring safety. Duties include controlling entrances and pedestrian/vehicle traffic, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials/personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Responsibilities may vary by post and ADA accommodations may be provided. Key tasks include reporting on time in full uniform, greeting customers/visitors/employees, staying updated on post orders, monitoring cameras and equipment, maintaining emergency procedures knowledge, completing Daily Activity Reports and incident reports, recommending improvements for safety and loss prevention, and ensuring operation of life safety systems and access controls. Strong communication and teamwork, urgency, and adherence to policies are essential.
