Retail Security Officer

Provide security detail as described in post orders, establish relationships with customers, law enforcement, and fire departments, and maintain professional image with excellent customer service. Duties include controlling entrances and pedestrian/vehicle traffic, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting material and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Maintain knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, and related equipment; ensure operation of elevators/doors; complete Daily Activity Reports, incident reports, and log books; communicate security issues daily with the Security Supervisor; adapt to post orders and ADA accommodations; stay proactive about safety and loss prevention and share recommendations for improved processes. Demonstrates vigilance, teamwork, urgency, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
