Retail Security Officer

Job Summary
Provide security detail per post orders; patrol buildings and perimeters; control entrances and movement of pedestrians and vehicles; escort materials and personnel; inspect security and fire exposures; perform special assignments as directed. Maintain a professional image and deliver excellent customer service. Be proactive in revisions to post orders, monitor cameras, respond to alarms and incidents, report daily activity and incidents, and contribute to loss prevention. Coordinate with security supervisor and assist with life safety systems and access control; communicate effectively with customers, visitors and employees; adhere to training and compliance guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to patrol physical property or fixed post
- Knowledge of life safety systems and CCTV as described in the post orders
- Ability to complete reports and maintain documentation
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Awareness of post orders and emergency procedures
- Teamwork and ability to follow directions
- Honest, alert and disciplined approach to safeguarding property and people
