Job Summary
Retail Security Officer responsible for providing security detail per post orders, controlling entrances and movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and performing special assignments. Maintain a professional image and deliver strong customer service, greet customers/visitors/employees, stay informed on post orders, monitor security systems and cameras, report incidents, and complete required documentation such as daily activity, logs, and incident reports. Coordinate with Security Supervisor on emerging issues and changes; adapt to varying duties based on post orders and ADA accommodations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Duties may vary depending on department size, organizational structure, geographic location and post assignments.
- Be on time and report to post in full uniform.
- Maintain professional image with customers and staff.
- Patrol physical property or fixed post position.
- Monitor cameras or equipment as outlined in post orders.
- Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports.
- Maintain knowledge of life safety systems and emergency procedures.
