Retail Security Officer

Provide security detail as outlined in the post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments. Patrol of buildings and perimeters, control of entrances and movement of pedestrians and vehicles, escort of material and personnel, inspection of security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Maintain a professional image with strong customer service, greet customers and staff, stay up-to-date on post orders, monitor cameras/equipment, report incidents with Daily Activity Reports and relevant documents, and contribute to safer operations. Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, and related equipment; ensure safe operation of elevators and access doors; follow training and compliance guidelines; communicate security issues daily to the Security Supervisor; work as part of a team, adapt to varying post assignments, and uphold loss-prevention processes. Strong vigilance, clear written and verbal communication, and a proactive, results-oriented approach are expected.
