Retail Security Officer

Job Summary
Provide security detail as described in post orders, including control of entrances and movement, patrol of buildings and perimeters, escort of material and personnel, and inspection of security and fire exposures. Maintain a professional image with strong customer service, greet customers and employees, report suspicious activity, and respond to emergencies. Stay updated on post orders, handle daily activity and incident reports, monitor cameras and life-safety systems, and coordinate with law enforcement and fire departments as required. Duties may vary by post and ADA accommodations may be made; maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and ensure safe operation of equipment such as elevators and access doors. The role emphasizes vigilance, teamwork, and adherence to safety and loss-prevention practices.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in security or customer service preferred
- Ability to patrol and monitor security systems
