Retail Security Officer

Provide security detail per post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments. Maintain professional image and customer service while patrolling entrances, controlling pedestrian and vehicle traffic, escorting materials/personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Responsibilities may vary by post; duties include timely reporting, daily activity/incident reports, monitoring cameras, knowing life safety systems, and ensuring safe operation of elevators and access doors. Familiarity with post orders, emergency procedures, and loss-prevention processes is expected; effective communication with security supervisors and customers is essential.
