Job Summary
Greet customers with a friendly, commanding presence to deter theft while walking the sales floor to identify potential loss indicators. Coordinate closed-circuit television systems and manage life safety protocols, including responding to medical emergencies and fire alarms. Discreetly observe customers and employees to prevent loss, utilizing resources to apprehend shoplifters and conduct investigations under Asset Protection Manager guidance. Navigate conflict situations with strong judgment and composure in stressful environments. Maintain a safe store environment for associates and customers while fostering relationships with community organizations and emergency responders. AED/CPR certification is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- California Guard Card/ Security Guard License
- Police Officer/Deputy/Trooper experience working road patrol and/or United States Military Law Enforcement or Special Operations experience
- Proven ability to problem solve and effectively manage conflict
- Ability to use good judgment and make difficult decisions that affect the safety and well-being of others
- Ability to maintain effective communication and composure in a stressful environment
- Technical aptitude with advanced PC skills, including proficiency with MS Office
- Federal, State and County Background Check
