Job Summary
Retail Scan Associates visit designated local retailers to scan barcodes on displays and in aisles, using a mobile app. You will perform in-store data collection across grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores, with weekly deadlines and potential for 1–2 extra hours per store for special projects. Base hours average 9–20 hours per week across all stores, with higher demand Jan–June. Responsibilities include scanning products, recording quantities for about 45% of scanned items, and completing store-wide display scanning. The role offers independence, flexible scheduling, paid travel at hourly rate, paid sick time, 401(k) with employer matching contributions, and a referral program. You will work with major retailers like Walmart, Kroger, Target, Albertsons, and others, across multiple locations, with on-site (in-store) work arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage
- Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store
- Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand
- Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Must be a deadline-driven self-starter
- Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi
- Must be tech savvy
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
