Job Summary
Oversee daily sales operations in an auto salvage yard, maintaining 85% sales floor presence to engage customers, model selling behaviors, and drive results. Recruit, hire, train, and schedule personnel while conducting weekly team meetings to reinforce culture and review performance metrics. Validate customer receipts, perform cash verification, and complete register countdowns to ensure strict compliance with financial procedures. Lead resolution of employee and customer issues by enforcing policies and escalating concerns as necessary. Ensure assigned areas remain clean and organized, promoting a safe environment where all staff adhere to safety standards and wear required PPE. Prepare and analyze sales reports to track progress and identify improvement opportunities. This role requires a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and peak days, with physical demands involving standing, walking, lifting up to 40 pounds, and exposure to dust and automotive fluids. Candidates must have experience managing customers and supervising employees, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing customers directly and supervising employees
- Experience handling customer payments across multiple payment methods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and email applications
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule—including weekends, holidays, occasional overtime—and to support nearby store locations as assigned by leadership
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly and professionally in English
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Must have manual dexterity for handling tools, performing housekeeping duties such as mopping and sweeping, and completing assigned Task List responsibilities
- Must have sufficient vision
- Must be able to remain on your feet for the entire work shift
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must pass a post-offer drug screen and background check
- Must review and sign an Arbitration Agreement
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish
- Familiarity with automotive parts, including recognizing common components and understanding basic product information
