Job Summary
Customer Service Associate at Lowe's focused on welcoming customers, helping them find products and services, and delivering friendly service across departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services. Responsibilities include answering questions, assisting with locating and handling merchandise, restocking shelves, processing orders and deliveries accurately, cross-training in other areas, preparing department merchandise (e.g., tinting/mixing paint, cutting/ threading pipe, cutting wood, drywall, blinds), guiding customers through shopping or checkout, and performing other duties as assigned. The role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, merchandising, and basic retail/computer tasks in a part-time capacity with potential for growth and benefits such as health insurance options, 401(k), tuition assistance, employee discounts, and Track to the Trades program.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
- Tuition assistance participation
- Track to the Trades program participation
