Job Summary
Customer Service Associate duties at Lowe's include welcoming customers, helping them find the right products and services for home improvement needs, answering questions, and delivering friendly, professional service. Responsibilities include assisting customers in locating and handling merchandise, replenishing stock on shelves, processing orders and deliveries, cross-training in other areas, preparing department merchandise (e.g., tinting paint, cutting pipe, bundling wood, cutting drywall, blinds), guiding customers through shopping or checkout, and performing other duties as assigned. The role spans multiple departments based on hiring needs and skillsets (Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, Pro Services). The position requires basic computer and retail technology proficiency, ability to stand for extended periods, and the physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds in team settings.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
