Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly, professional service while helping shoppers locate and handle merchandise. Replenish shelves by identifying empty areas, process orders and deliveries accurately, and prepare department-specific items such as tinting paint or cutting wood. Cross-functionally train in other store areas and complete other duties as assigned. This part-time role involves working in departments like Appliances, Flooring, or Hardware, with occasional travel for meetings or store support. You will handle varied environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, or wet environments, and may lift up to 75 pounds using proper techniques.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Must be available for occasional travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
