Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly, professional service while helping shoppers find products for home improvement needs. Replenish shelves by locating empty areas and stocking merchandise, then process orders and deliveries accurately to ensure timely receipt. Occasionally load merchandise, prepare items such as tinting paint or cutting wood based on customer requests, and guide shoppers through checkout. Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support overall service quality. This part-time role rotates through departments including Appliances, Flooring, and Hardware, with occasional travel to meetings or neighboring stores.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Bi-lingual skills
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
