Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly, professional service while helping shoppers find products for their home improvement needs. Replenish shelves by locating empty areas and process orders and deliveries accurately to ensure timely receipt. Occasionally load merchandise, prepare items such as tinting paint or cutting wood, and cross-functionally train in other store areas. Complete other duties as assigned while working in departments including Appliances, Flooring, or Plumbing. This part-time role involves rotating shifts with flexible scheduling and occasional travel for meetings or store support.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
