Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer product questions, and guide shoppers through checkout while stocking shelves and replenishing merchandise. Process orders and deliveries accurately, prepare specialized items like painting or plumbing, and cross-functionally train in other store areas as needed. Rotate through departments including Appliances, Hardware, or Pro Services based on hiring needs. This part-time role supports Lowe's home improvement stores, which serve millions of customers weekly. Associates may work in varying weather conditions and occasionally travel for training or store support.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Must be available for occasional travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
