Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer product questions, and deliver professional service while helping shoppers find solutions for home improvement needs. Assist with locating and handling merchandise, replenish down stock by identifying empty shelf areas, and process orders and deliveries accurately. Occasionally load merchandise, prepare items based on specific customer requirements such as mixing paint or cutting wood, and guide clients through checkout. Cross-functionally train in other store areas and complete other duties as assigned. This part-time role rotates across departments including Appliances, Flooring, Hardware, and Pro Services, with occasional travel to meetings or neighboring stores.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
