Job Summary
Sales Lead at the Missouri Botanical Garden Gift Shop, part-time seasonal, responsible for providing exceptional guest service, supporting store management in day-to-day operations, and creating a memorable shopping experience. Engage with guests, deliver a fun and engaging customer experience, and assist with merchandising. Requires prior retail keyholder/supervisory experience, cash-handling, and strong merchandising skills. Schedule flexibility including weekdays, weekends, evenings (up to 10:30pm), and holidays. Comfortable interacting with guests of all ages and able to proactively demonstrate products and features. Physical demands include standing/walking and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail keyholder, retail supervisory, cash-handling, and customer service experience required
- Strong merchandising skills a must
- Must be able to work irregular schedules on weekdays, weekends, evenings through 10:30pm, and holidays
- Must naturally enjoy interacting with people of all ages
- Ability to proactively intercept, engage, and demonstrate product to customers in a positive, welcoming and outgoing manner, and able to effectively communicate product features
- Must be welcoming, positive, engaging and friendly towards our guests, team members, and venue staff
