Job Summary
Lead a Dick's Sporting Goods store team by delivering exceptional customer service while upholding brand standards. The Lead acts as in-store expert for their department, guiding teammates under the guidance of Store Management, leading by example, coaching, onboarding new teammates, and cross-training. Responsibilities include building a strong team through interviewing and tours, fostering a people-first culture, planning 30-day workflows with the Assistant Store Manager, leveraging teammates to meet brand standards and store programs, maintaining merchandising and floor-set presentation, supervising store operations, and supporting training. The role emphasizes inclusive, collaborative leadership and accountability, with focus on customer experience, loss prevention, and adherence to safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Flexible availability - including nights, weekend, and holidays.
- Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
