Job Summary
Retail Sales Lead at Dick's Sporting Goods oversees in-store execution of brand standards and teammate experience, leads by example and coaches teammates, supports interviewing and onboarding, plans workforce to execute daily tasks and events, ensures merchandising standards and loss-prevention procedures, and fosters an inclusive, customer-focused store environment while aligning daily work with organizational goals. The role emphasizes leadership in people development, coaching, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience, with responsibilities including training teammates, delegating tasks based on priority, and maintaining store-wide adherence to policies and procedures. The position requires flexible availability and prior retail or customer-focused experience, with physical duties such as standing for long periods and lifting up to 35 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Flexible availability - including nights, weekend, and holidays
- Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour)
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously)
