Job Summary
Retail Sales Lead at Dick's Sporting Goods responsible for leading the department in delivering exceptional customer service and executing brand standards. The role focuses on coaching and developing teammates, onboarding and cross-training staff, planning daily and 30-day work plans, leveraging teammates for priority tasks, maintaining merchandising and presentation standards, contributing to a strong store culture, and ensuring safety and loss-prevention compliance. The Lead collaborates with store leadership to provide hands-on coaching, lead by example, and create an inclusive environment for teammates and customers, while supporting events and daily operations.
Required Qualifications
- Flexible availability - including nights, weekend, and holidays
- Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour)
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously)
