Job Summary
Retail Sales Lead at DICK’S Sporting Goods leads in-store execution of brand standards and delivers an exceptional shopping experience. Under guidance of store leadership, the Lead acts as the in-store expert for their department, coaches teammates, participates in interviewing and onboarding, plans daily and 30-day work plans, delegates tasks based on priority, maintains merchandising and presentation standards, supports training, and fosters an inclusive, safe store culture. Responsibilities include supervising store activities, coaching and developing teammates, aligning tasks with organizational goals, and upholding policies on safety and loss prevention while supporting events and store initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Flexible availability - including nights, weekend, and holidays.
- Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
