Job Summary
Conduct daily sales and stock support duties by re-merchandising floors, operating point-of-sale systems, and assisting customers with cashiering transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms. Sort and return clothing to sales floors, maintain clean stockrooms, and fulfill customer orders by receiving freight, packing, and shipping items following quality standards. Utilize inventory management systems to process shipments and ensure merchandise is accurately ticketed while adhering to operational and asset protection standards. Work flexible shifts involving continuous movement for 6-8 hours, lifting items up to 25 pounds occasionally, and operating store technologies. This role supports Nordstrom's customer-centric service model through initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program and contributes to a welcoming environment for all shoppers.

- Reaching for and lifting items above the head
- Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds

- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
- Adhere to all operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
- Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms (in-store, online and mobile)
- Operating a point-of-sale system
- Bagging items of all size
- Handling bulky sometimes heavy items including boxes
- Ensure a seamless and friendly experience
- Create a smooth fitting room experience
- Greeting and assisting customers
- Sorting and returning clothing to the floor
- Keep the stockrooms organized
- Ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
- Receive, unload freight
- Unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
- Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
- Prepare and ship customer's orders following quality, packing and shipping standards
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments
