Job Summary
Conduct daily sales floor support by re-merchandising, straightening, and ensuring the sales area remains runway ready. Assist customers with cashiering across in-store, online, and mobile platforms while operating point-of-sale systems and handling bulky items. Support the fitting room experience by greeting guests, assisting with selections, and sorting returned clothing back to the floor. Maintain organized stockrooms by checking in merchandise, accurately ticketing items, unloading freight, and fulfilling customer orders via inventory management systems. Adhere to operational standards, asset protection protocols, and Nordstrom Rewards initiatives. Requires continuous movement for 6-8 hours, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly, and flexibility to work varying shifts.
Required Qualifications

- Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift
- Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching

- Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items
- Reaching for and lifting items above the head
- Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds
- Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
- Adhere to all operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
- Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms (in-store, online and mobile)
- Operating a point-of-sale system
- Bagging items of all size
- Handling bulky sometimes heavy items including boxes
- Ensure a seamless and friendly experience
- Create a smooth fitting room experience
- Greeting and assisting customers
- Sorting and returning clothing to the floor
- Keep the stockrooms organized
- Ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
- Receive, unload freight
- Unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
- Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
- Prepare and ship customer's orders following quality, packing and shipping standards
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments
- Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
