Job Summary
Conduct daily sales floor operations including re-merchandising, straightening, and ensuring the sales area remains runway ready. Assist customers with cashiering transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms while operating point-of-sale systems and handling bulky items. Support fitting room experiences by greeting guests and sorting merchandise back to the floor. Maintain organized stockrooms by checking in and ticketing merchandise accurately. Receive, unload, and deliver freight to selling departments while fulfilling customer orders following quality standards. Utilize inventory management systems to process shipments and scan merchandise. Adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards while promoting Nordstrom Rewards initiatives. Work a flexible schedule based on business needs, requiring continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift involving frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.
Required Qualifications

- Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items
- Reaching for and lifting items above the head
- Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds
- Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
- Adhere to all operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
- Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms (in-store, online and mobile)
- Operating a point-of-sale system
- Bagging items of all size
- Handling bulky sometimes heavy items including boxes
- Ensure a seamless and friendly experience
- Create a smooth fitting room experience
- Greeting and assisting customers

- Prepare and ship customer's orders following quality, packing and shipping standards
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments
