Job Summary
Greet, respect, engage, assist, and thank every shopper while accurately processing point-of-sale transactions and supporting smooth customer flow. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment by recovering merchandise, performing basic replenishment, and ensuring presentation guidelines are met across all shopper-facing areas. Support opening and closing routines, assist shoppers with product location and checkout needs, and uphold safety, pricing integrity, and loss-prevention procedures. Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This role aligns with Goodwill's mission of changing lives through education, training, and employment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required in a retail environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to deliver friendly, respectful, and helpful shopper service
- Ability to follow established processes, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Basic math skills and attention to detail for accurate transactions
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail, customer service, or production experience preferred, but not required
- Experience working in fast‐paced, high‐volume environments preferred
- Prior nonprofit or mission‐based retail experience is a plus
- Experience operating a point‐of‐sale system or handling cash transactions preferred
- Bilingual language skills are preferred
