Job Summary
Retail Sales Department Manager leads and supervises a retail sales team, participates in merchandising and floor set-ups, trains and coaches associates, ensures excellent customer service, handles transactions and paperwork per company policy, and maintains awareness of advertised merchandise to ensure ads are properly set and signed. The role requires strong leadership, selling and customer-service skills, and the ability to learn store systems and interpret reports; evening and weekend availability is required. The position is full-time with a starting salary of $38,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Prior retail sales management experience
- Strong selling and/or customer service experience, preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to learn computer systems, POS register, telxon, and interpret reports
- Available to work varied days and hours as work schedule requires, including evenings and weekends
