Job Summary
Conduct inventory controls, spot checks, and counts throughout the season while managing cash register operations, end-of-day cash-outs, and open/close procedures. Sell soft and hard goods to guests, restock floors, and maintain neat displays across Snow Ghost Outfitters, Summit House Gift Shop, and Base Lodge Traders. Attend clinics, assist with rental operations, and provide feedback on buying trends and reorder needs. Work within WSI policies to support guest service plans and cross-sell initiatives. Handle difficult guest situations and ensure safe, risk-free environments through periodic inspections. Full-time or part-time seasonal availability from December through early-April, including holiday periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Previous cashier experience
- Must be available during holiday period (mid-December to mid-January)
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with little supervision
- Must be able to function effectively with guests and staff
- Ability to be on one's feet for extended periods, up to 6-8 hours
- Moderate physical activity required, handling objects up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally
- Ability to deal with difficult guests and problem resolution
Desired Qualifications
- Previous sales experience
- Previous experience working directly with the public
- Knowledge of the ski/snowboard industry
- In the winter, skiing experience
- Actual ski time
