Job Summary
Lead merchandising of aisles, endcaps, and displays to enhance sales and visual appeal while ordering weekly hardware replenishment from the warehouse. Maintain accurate inventory counts, resolve pricing and quantity issues, and perform regular category walk-throughs to ensure planogram compliance. Promote key categories such as paint, plumbing, tools, and electrical supplies to contractors and retail customers, dedicating two to three hours weekly to direct sales calls and visits. Conduct ongoing training for store associates on hardware-related items and sales techniques, serving as the in-store subject matter expert for assigned categories. Manage e-commerce transactions, ensure accurate online listings, and coordinate promotions with corporate purchasing and marketing teams. Work with other Retail Sales Champions regionally to share strategies and collaborate with vendors on shared promotional opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Two or more years of retail sales experience
- Ability to listen to a customer's needs and formulate appropriate solutions
- Ability to operate a register, computer, and calculator
- A commitment to Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently, promptly, and accurately
- Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid ID or Passport
