Job Summary
Engage customers by asking thoughtful questions to understand their needs, then educate them on purchase options using POS systems, the Wayfair app, quotes, or online tools. Provide tailored product recommendations while handling returns, curbside pickups, cancellations, cart retrieval, and store organization. Build meaningful relationships and support store goals through replenishment, backfills, and floor sets, flexing across sales and back-of-house functions as needed. Show up ready to work on time, every shift, communicating proactively about any challenges.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in retail sales or customer-facing roles
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
- Comfortable using mobile devices, store apps, inventory tools, and POS systems
- Strong sales instincts combined with great communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to juggle multiple customers or tasks at once while staying focused and accurate
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs independently on a regular basis
- Vision includes close, distance, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Comfortable in environments with varying temperature conditions
- Occasional exposure to moderate noise levels and physical activity
- Minimal exposure to workplace or environmental hazards—must adhere to all safety protocols
