Job Summary
Greet customers with a warm, friendly service, scan merchandise, and process payments using the cash register while adhering to all cash handling procedures. Provide suggestive selling to promote merchandise programs, replenish products to ensure in-stock conditions, and complete store housekeeping functions including cleaning and restroom maintenance. Verify customer age with valid ID for restricted sales, perform shift paperwork, and maintain a neat appearance in the company uniform. Work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as requested by the Store Manager, lifting up to 50 pounds and standing or bending frequently.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to explain how to dispense fuel into a vehicle and/or approved container
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to add and subtract in order to make change, complete shift reports, and account for a variety of products during vendor check-in
- Displays outstanding work ethics at all times in the areas of honesty, efficiency, professionalism and dependability
- Displays punctuality and a neat appearance
- Must be able to work all shifts as requested
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Must pass the background check and drug free workplace requirements
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- This position requires constant standing, bending, and reaching
- Ability to perform tasks in all areas of the store which may include exposure to the cold while working in the cooler/freezer and while maintaining the parking lot and exterior of the store's perimeter
