Job Summary
Retail Sales Associate for the Summer 2026 season at Big White Ski Resort. You will greet customers, provide product recommendations, maintain store cleanliness, restock merchandise, process transactions with a POS system, and uphold theft-prevention and safety procedures. Responsibilities include assisting guests with apparel and bike-related merchandise, maintaining visual merchandising standards, organizing deliveries, and collaborating with team members to ensure a great guest experience. Must have strong interpersonal and customer service skills, be able to work 30–40 hours per week with shifts Thursday through Sunday and holiday Mondays, and be comfortable working in an alpine environment. Prior retail or outdoor/sporting goods experience is preferred, along with basic math and computer skills. Accommodation may be available. Wage starts at $19.00/hour. Start date: week of June 29, 2026; season ends September 7, 2026, with potential for winter employment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Good organizational skills
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred, especially in outdoor/sporting goods or apparel
- Ability to use a variety of computer applications
- Ability to handle transactions accurately using a POS system and basic math skills

- Working knowledge of the facility, services and local area
- Must be approachable, dependable and a strong team player
- Must be able to deal with people of various ages with animation and with patience
- Must be able to work Thursday-Sundays and Holiday Mondays
