Job Summary
Greet and acknowledge customers to build rapport, provide accurate product information, and close sales while maintaining selling floor appearance. Sell merchandise and perform marketing activities, including opening new charge accounts to meet company goals. Accurately complete all transactions and paperwork, process stock by assisting in receiving, folding, and replenishing merchandise, and operate a POS register. Requires prior retail or customer service experience, strong communication skills, and availability for varied days and hours including evenings and weekends. Starting rate is $16.15 per hour with medical benefits, 401(k) match, weekly pay, and paid vacation.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail sales experience
- Prior customer service experience
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with basic math skills
- Ability to learn selling skills
- Ability to operate a POS register
- Ability to operate a telxon
- Available to work varied days and hours
