Job Summary
Retail Sales Associate (Part-time) at Twin Liquors in Austin-area company history with a focus on wine and spirits. Responsibilities include practicing responsible alcohol service per local/state laws with ID verification, assisting in store operations (cleanliness, displays, signage, safety, customer service), maintaining product knowledge, collaborating with teammates to deliver excellent sales service, operating POS and handling cash/credit transactions, and responding to customer needs. Requires age 21+, strong communication, integrity, professionalism, product knowledge in wine/spirits, TABC knowledge, ability to multi-task and work varied shifts including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- Strong knowledge of company policies, goals and standards
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and oral and written communication skills
- Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience and to provide excellent customer service
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with other Team Members and leadership
- Ability to use technology applicable to the position and access information necessary to complete daily responsibilities
- Desire to continually develop retail sales skills and knowledge of product and services
- Demonstrate creativity in promoting sales, merchandising and/or marketing
- Ability to follow directions and initiated completion of tasks or activities without necessary supervision
- Problem solving skills, especially in situations of high stress
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments, with ability to meet deadlines and commitments
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; monitors own work to ensure quality
- Full knowledge of all TABC regulations that apply to the company
- Progressive retail experience
- Product knowledge in wine and spirits
- Physical Requirements - stand 8 hours, lift up to 50 pounds, ability to work all shift times
- Availability to work weekdays and weekends
- Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-3 years in retail, bar tending or restaurant setting preferred
